Beautiful natural setting with a brook, pond, and ocean. Perfect for a romantic escape. Friendly and accommodating staff who provided great recommendations for hiking trails and even offered to join us.- Camping near the brook, the sound of water was incredibly soothing. We got engaged here and the staff made it even more special.
Limited access to amenities, with the nearest gas station and food store quite far away. Bicycling on the nearby Cabot Trail can be challenging due to fast-moving traffic with no separate bike lane.

I had the most amazing stay at this property in a relaxed, funky, and beautiful natural setting. The chalets were fantastic and well-equipped, providing all the comforts of home. The overall property was absolutely spectacular, offering breathtaking views and a laid-back atmosphere. The natural setting on the eastern shore of Cape Breton was truly stunning, perfect for those who love being surrounded by nature. My kids had a blast exploring the property and taking the small hand-pulled ferry across the pond to the rocky beach. They especially loved having their own floor in the chalet where they could watch older movies on VHS tapes, which was a unique and nostalgic experience. We enjoyed paddling a canoe around the pond, walking on the beach, flying kites, and building cairns. The staff were incredibly friendly, easy-going, and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this property for a truly amazing and relaxing vacation.

I recently stayed at Cabot Shores for a few nights and it was a lovely experience. The yurt had a beautiful view and was cozy with the pre-warmed portable heater. The bed was comfortable and the washroom/shower facility was clean. The communal aspect of the place with the organic garden and compost was a great touch. It has the potential to be an incredible and unique experience for those who appreciate it.
I recommend this hotel.

We had a great time at this hidden gem. The camp sites were well-situated and offered both privacy and natural beauty. The staff was friendly and the chalet we stayed in was comfortable, with a cozy bed and a warm atmosphere. We enjoyed exploring the trails and had the beach all to ourselves.
The landing facility for the ferry could be improved.

had an amazing time at a beautiful seaside location with friendly staff, live music, and plenty of outdoor activities, exceeding expectations from previous stay in Indian Brook.
Unclear directions to accommodation.

Beautiful nature setting with stunning views of fall colours. Cozy common area and delicious food.- Comfortable and well-decorated yurt with a perfect fireplace
Yurt portrayed as being in the wilderness but was actually located in the driveway alongside other yurts. Lack of privacy in some yurts, especially those close to common areas.

I got great value for my money and the room was really comfortable. The location next to the sea was amazing and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast offerings could have been better, with more hot options and a wider variety of food.

Small and cheaply furnished room with a bed similar to an Ikea futon. Limited water pressure in shower fed from sink taps. Partially covered window in bathroom, lacking proper curtain. Weak wifi and empty hot tub.

The Cedar Yurt was a unique experience and offered comfortable accommodations. The grounds of the resort were well maintained and pleasant to explore. Although the buffet was not worth the $12 charge and left us hungry, we did meet some amazing people staying at the resort and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The service at check-in was painfully slow, taking 30 minutes to complete. The camp sites were overpriced at $82 for 4 people with no amenities.

As a group of friends, we loved the unique concept and beautiful yurts adorned in a comfortable and fun way. The owners were helpful in giving us information on the location and nearby amenities. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the concert by the local musician. The stunning scenery was a great bonus.
Felt privileged, no complaints at all.

My mom and I had a wonderful stay at Cabot Shores for 3 nights. The yurt experience was unique and enjoyable, with a stunning view and a cozy atmosphere thanks to the preheated portable heater. Despite the stormy weather, the yurt was sturdy and we felt safe. The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering us a comfortable room in the lodge. The washroom and shower facilities were clean, adding to our pleasant stay.
Would recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved the unique concept of Cabot Shores. The communal vibe, complete with an organic garden and compost, was a refreshing change from the usual hotel experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the cedar hot tub was a highlight. The owners provided great information about the location and nearby attractions, and their suggestions for the Cabot Trail were spot on.
Felt like part of the family, couldn't ask for anything better.
